Today was our FIRST day filming with our crew of pirates. What a blast we had! Costuming, makeup, and hair took an awfully long time, but looking at the footage and all the photos afterwards it was clearly worth it. We were afraid the girls wouldn't want the heavy eye makeup, but most of them loved it. Similarly, the guys loved their beards and mustaches. It made all of them look so much older.
We filmed the captured scene. The little lost boys all got thrown over shoulders or tucked under arms and kicking and hiding smiles they were marched in and out of the hideout. Wendy also got to do her signature scream: "Peter Pan will save us. You Bullies! You big ugly bullies." She was afraid it wouldn't sound good, but it was absolutely perfect. I can't wait to edit this footage.
