Today was the first shoot on the pirate ship.
The cars were packed with equipment but we managed to squeeze the boys in around it and drove the ten minutes to the ship. It was magical for them. In their minds, they've already fought the battle, beaten the pirates, and won the vessel. This is THEIR ship.
The boys played on it while we set up and then everyone piled into the hull for the "I do believe in fairies" scene. It was hard to get them calmed down. They kept throwing gravel out the windows at Creed (Peter Pan) and Miriam (Tinkerbell/Assistant Director) The playground is right next to a church and the people inside gave us more than a few odd looks, especially as the boys started to belt "I DO BELIEVE IN FAIRIES" at the top of their lungs. But we had a blast. Life can't get any better than this.
