PETER PAN - Filming Day 10

Updated: Apr 30, 2019

First REAL day on the ship. Filming day three (which feels like centuries ago) wasn't technically on the ship, it was in the ship. We didn't have to use green screen for those scenes. But today we filmed Hook dying and the Jolly Roger taking to the stars . . . so YES, green screen was a must. The playground behind the ship (which I originally thought would be a nuisance) ended up being the perfect thing to hang our green screen from.

I am incredibly pleased with the shots from today, especially the duel between Captain Hook and Peter and the excited/in-awe faces on Wendy and the Lost Boys as they sail through the stars.

BUT - Today was also the Day of Injury. Mason (Hook) had to fall off the pirate ship (onto a bed of gravel) five times to get the shots we needed. The hand-guard on Creed's (Peter) sword came off so his hand kept getting stabbed and scraped. Charlie (Twin #1) whacked Madison (Wendy) with the sword, I fell off the ladder and ended up with whiplash, and Nelson (Prince) rammed his knee into the side of the ship and started bleeding. But, despite all of the blood and bruises and sore muscles, it was a great day!
