Making Lost Boy Bows

Well, it might be premature, but I'm getting ancy.

I went outside today and lopped off eight green branches in our treeline. My brother and I spent about three hours in the shop stringing those branches into bows. One per lost boy. My brother tried out every one of them after we were through stringing it. They all shoot surprisingly well, considering that it's just a branch and some nylon string.

Now for the arrows. I went to LOWES with my sister and picked up four long dowels--enough to give every lost boy four arrows each. They really only need one each, but I think we'll be losing arrows right and left once the little boys get a hold of the bows. Four each might not even be enough . . . I guess we'll see.

Best part of the day: My sister made me sword fight with her right there in the LOWES aisle. She was hook (See her finger in the photo) and I was Peter. We filmed ourselves and that footage might just end up in a behind the scenes video somewhere. I love my sister!
