Beach Day! Hiccup is flying, the village is watching, will he be alright???
Today we went down to the lake one last time and filmed all our vikings running up to the bank and looking up into the sky at Hiccup and Toothless. Of course nothing was really there and they had to watch and react to nothing, but they seriously did a fantastic job. You would never know that they were looking at an empty sky and not a dragon and rider fighting to the death.
Mason (Hiccup) was there, though he didn't have anything to do for the first half while I filmed with the rest of the cast. But then he was quite busy. In the scene,, Hiccup falls into the water and is rescued by Toothless, so Mason got completely wet (again) and filmed the whole scene drenched. That's dedication. Matthew (Stoic) got wet too and the two of them had me laughing so hard during their scene together. What a fun father-son duo.
