Here a little, there a little, we are finalizing the costumes. For the longest time, we've had boxes in the basement labeled "Pirates," "Fairies," "Lost Boys," filled with anything and everything that we bought, found, and borrowed.
Slowly, slowly, the boxes got so full that we couldn't add anything else. We knew then that it was time to start putting together the outfits. We wrote the actor's names on little half-sheets of paper and laid them out on the floor
We then dumped one box out one at a time--starting with the Lost Boys--and divvyed up the contents. Quiver for him, vest for him, arm cuffs for him, etc. We thought we'd run out of shirts, but we ended had extra which means I can hang a clothes line in the lost boy's hideout.
Then we did the pirates! It was the best part since we purchased the most for these characters. Hip scarf for her, vest for him, necklace for her, eye patch for him, etc. We have ten pirates not counting Captain Hook, but we had no problem outfitting them all. Pirates are a throw-it-together type of bunch anyway, so costumes are easy. What you have on hand, is what you use.
And now it's finished. Everything is hung and waiting for the actors to put them on. Looking at the picture, it's easy to see which costumes belong to the lost boys and which belong to the pirates and which belong to the fairies.
