Filming Day four was such a quick shoot that we didn't get as many BTS photos. It didn't help that we had no extra crew members on this shoot to film Behind the Scenes stuff. It was just the director and the actress.
Driving to the falls. They are about 20 min from our place so we listened to music and talked about up-coming scenes. It was great! I spy Astrid's axe . . .
Me talking Astrid through her scene.
Every movie I become a better director. In this one, I'm learning how to work with my actors better and help them know what I envision. I've discovered I have to work with actors in different ways. Some want a physiological run down of what their character is going through and some (like Miriam) just want notes like, "more scared," or "try it faster."
All this rain made the rock super slippery so Miriam, trying to be the cool, confident Astrid, was slipping and laughing. It was great!
