I had so much fun with my little Viking girls. We got so much beautiful footage, but it's no fault of mine. How can you not get beautiful footage when you have so many beautiful little girls to work with?
My Little Viking Girls
Usually Miriam comes with me to be assistant director 9when she's not acting) but today she was working so I came alone. But I did have an assistant director in the end. One of the moms stayed and helped me out: grabbing water for the girls, helping me move the equipment, helping the girls dress up and dress down. I couldn't have done it without her. Thank you!
We took a water break in the middle and the girls jumped on the tramp. They would jump off the porch banister and do front flips. It was crazy!
And afterwards we took some time to cool down while the girls played with the toys. They really get along so well. It makes my job effortless.
Sadly, one of the little girls couldn't make it to filming because she had a dentist appointment, so I drove out the next day and filmed a few shots with just her. We had fun, picking flowers and talking about kittens. I am always so happy after filming with these children. They make me want to me a better person.
It ended up being a blessing that I went out and got this extra footage because on the main day, I forgot to get a shot of someone pointing into the sky and shouting "It's Hiccup!" Thankfully, this little viking girl was willing to do it for me and it was perfect!
All the other girls decided to throw their bouquets in the air after wrap, but Kathy decided to keep hers and put it in a vase for her mom. It was adorable.
