In the forested foothills of Tennessee, a young boy grows up loved by his mother. Unknown to him, there is another boy, just a couple hundred miles north, who also has a mother who loves him.

 

When these two boys meet, many years later, it is on the battlefield--one fighting for the confederacy, the other for the Union.
